Since November, Mars (strength) has been retrograde in Taurus (family), a sign that traditionally seeks stability and comfort. This has had the effect of cooling our passions and tempers and potentially grounding our tantrums. Since Taurus is an earth-based sign and is ruled by Venus (senses), responses and reactions have been more subdued. During a retrograde cycle, there's a good chance you've given some thought to old conflicts and interactions, asking yourself which ones are worth fighting for and which ones are futile drains on your time and resources. This is the perfect time to clean that up and let it go. Let it goooooo.
Today, January 12th, Mars goes direct in Taurus, signaling the beginning of renewed forward momentum for any endeavors that had stalled or been placed on the back burner. This trend should carry on through March. Be aware of your reaction to tense situations and stay in your lane. That whole, "Does it need to be said? Does it need to be said by me? Does it need to be said by me right now?" comes in really handy now.
On the January 18th Mercury (intellect) is going to station and then direct. This aids our bility to discern, engage our minds and work through communications with a little more clarity and ease.
Lastly, for the last 2 1/2 years Saturn (facing fears) has been in Capricorn (boundaries) where we've felt the pressure relating to safety, structure and boundaries. On January 17th this it moves into Aquarius. This is where we learn the benefit of working together and standing for all than our own individual needs -- in a place where the importance of teamwork and the advocacy of others over one's own wants can be realized. This stressed sensation of constructing limits might literally open wide to a big new breath of fresh air for all of humanity. Ego death or reorientation is usually the catalyst for this transformation -- you know, like the last 2 1/2 years! Hello Saturn in Aquarius!
